Zoë and Alistair are an incredibly talented and artistic couple who enjoyed a fun and relaxed Snowdonia wedding North Wales. They wanted their wedding to reflect the passionate and creative approach to life they both have. Everything from the beautiful hand crafted ring box by Alistair to the ‘floral’ bouquets and button holes made from scrolls of music script made by Zoë. Every part of their wedding told the story of Mr and Mrs Love!

The wedding ceremony took place at a fabulous Grade 1 listed medieval building in Chwilog. Jules, the bridesmaids and the guests set off together on a bus. Many winding country lanes later, they arrived at the extraordinarily ancient building of Penarth Fawr. Zoë and Alistair broke with tradition. Travelling together to their wedding and walking down the aisle together too, perfect! Penarth Fawr has a minstrel gallery where two brilliant musicians from Sheffield were seated playing though the ceremony. Music was an important part of the day, Alistair had composed a piece of music, played by Sarah and Ben, as the wedding ceremony ended.

Why a Snowdonia Wedding?

Zoë attended a writing course at the former home of David Lloyd George a couple of years ago. She came to realise that it was the perfect venue for their wedding. Ty Newydd Writers’ Centre offers excellent accommodation and beautiful gardens. With the help of Jenene, the lovely wedding planner, they organised a day to remember. There was a dramatic stretch tent on the lawn with views over Cardigan Bay. Exceptional local produce was ordered in and fabulously cooked. In fact, it was one of the best wedding meals we have ever enjoyed!!

Champagne & Wine flowed all day and was extra special. Zoë & Alistair had actually visited the vineyards and helped to pick the grapes that went to make their hand-picked selection of wines for their wedding meal. There was even a ‘gentlemens’ whisky bar upstairs for later in the evening. Although not only gentlemen were drinking the fine selection of whiskies!

What a fabulous wedding and as the pictures show, everyone had a fantastic time. Thanks for asking us to share in this amazing day, we really enjoyed our trip to North Wales!
